That title has an asterisk, which means there's something fishy about it.
But a character BASED on Bowser is getting his own movie. Disney is prepping Wreck-It Ralph, a film where the 1980s video game villain tries to go good, except he can't. John C. Reilly voices Ralph. There's also room for characters from a first-person shooter and a kart-racing game, and presumably lots of little shout-outs to other games. The whole thing takes place at an arcade, which i guess is how the characters hop from game to game, via their cabinets.
Dennis Hopper, being dead, remains unavailable to take up the Bowser role again.
